It’s time to clear a few things up. There are two problems that vex agents and consumers alike — and confusion is at the root of both issues.

First, the industry confuses data with insights. Everyone — agents, buyers, sellers alike — pulls from the same public data. But that data often gets confused with human insight that comes from real-world experience. These are two very different things. Data is necessary. Human insight is essential. No amount of data can ever replace it.

It’s worth acknowledging what you might already know: AI isn’t helping matters. It can turn raw data into fluent, confident-sounding answers — which adds to the confusion. Data has its place. So does AI. But neither is a substitute for first-hand human experience.

Second, the industry confuses people with inventory. In exchange for free data, portals turn buyers and sellers into leads to be sold to agents. But when a person becomes a product, there’s a hidden cost that’s quietly corrosive. Public trust is often the first casualty. The answer is not to limit the data, but to address the confusion between people and product, and to rebalance the equation between consumers, agents and human insights.

So let's reimagine a platform to solve for both issues at once: where high-quality data and first-hand human insight both have a place — but with the insight credited to the specialist who earned it. And where clients are respected as people, not treated like inventory. A platform that provides buyers and sellers the chance to familiarize themselves with talented agents and neighborhood insights — and the freedom to engage on their own terms, at their own pace.
